Eqyptt, i never mistook you for an ass good sir let that fact be known. I'm just glad that we have been able to resolve this unfortunate mishappen. And i'd like to thank you for not pulling rank. The .40 cal round is a good round indeed, but, one morning about a year ago, me and another Officer were taking a prowler call out in the sticks and he was "charged" by a full grown boxer dog with teeth showing. He raised his Glock model 22 (.40 with Ranger SXT jacketed hollowpoints) and shot the dog right between the eyes. The dog yelped a bit and ran off. Several months ago, we saw the dog yet again with a small scar right between his eyes! He and I both about fell out because we figured the dog went off somewhere and died.

Just a thought I wanted to share with you, be careful around those bears and you might want to consider going to a .45 or 10mm for a little more knock down power.
